Schism - strong disagreement among member of an organization  - A schism between leading members of the party, the church was divided by schism. 

Meaning of Hedge, genteel, quarted, facile and respite

 Hedge - limit a statement  When asked why he had decided to buy millions of shares at the very moment the tech companies stock soared, the CEO hedged, metioning something vague about gut instinct.
